I am really excited this morning as I am getting ready for the summer edition of The Pullens Open Studios in Illife, and Peacock yard, Walworth SE17.
If last night was a taster of what’s to come over the weekend, then we are in for a treat!
It was very well attended – in fact, at the Alex Monroe studio there was actually a queue, unsurprisingly!-, with live music in the cobble stone yard, yummy barbecued food provided by the Electric Elephant and a general festive atmosphere. There are so many Studios with such an eclectic mix of goods, many of which are handmade, unique and quirky… home from home for Peace of Glass.
You will find us in Illiffe Yard where we will have our range of wall art, sun catchers, jewellery and homeware. I have some fresh new pieces that I am eager to display. But also you can see our glass as part of a new exciting project at Reynoldsware Studio 8A Illiffe Yard. One of the fabulous mobiles is displayed at the studio for the event, in amongst their beautiful ceramics.
Our Bee Inspired jewellery line is also on display with Bee Urban, the Bee Keeping Charity in Kennington Park, where you can also purchase their own honey, their own seed cards produced with recycled paper -yes, seed cards, with wild flower seeds in them, so once one has finished with the card, they can simply put it in the soil and watch it grow and feed the bees:D. You will also be able to get info about the project.
The event is free, so why not come for a mooch??
11:00 am till 6.00 pm
(The event is on tomorrow too at the same time, but we will be at our regular pitch in Herne Hill).
Enjoy the weekend!!
