What a fantastic way to start 2015! Peace Of Glass was invited to participate in the celebration of HRH the Countess of Wessex 50th birthday during a visit to the charity Tomorrow’s People in Kennington. I was honoured to give the Countess one of our handmade grapevine pieces and she seemed truly intrigued by it! I will post the pictures of the piece soon.
What an amazing day!
Here are photos of the piece HRH received. It depicts a grapevine, which is made with copper wire, twisted around just as a vine would be and sandwiched between two layers of glass. An oxide is used to produce bubbles of air to represent the grapes. Also a picture of myself at the studio.Courtesy of Guy Smallman.
